MANILA, Philippines – Though President Benigno Aquino III spent hours with the families of slain Special Action Force troops on January 30, social media users and citizens criticized his failure to meet the returning bodies of the elite cops the day before. The hashtag #nasaanangpangulo (Where is the President?) was a trending topic on social media.
On Instagram, Sunday, February 1, Kris answered some of the comments against her brother and her family.

Kris also said that she takes death threats seriously – her father, the late Senator Ninoy Aquino, was assassinated in 1983.
The TV host said that for as long as people condemn her brother, she will continue to defend him.
On Saturday January 31, Kris reposted a photo of her and Michael Buble, who was a guest on her show, with a lengthy caption saying that she was ready for all sorts of reactions when she visited the families of the soldiers.
"On a day when I just had to stay strong & accept with steadfast courage all the anger, on a day when I felt how hard it was to practice quiet dignity, on a day I taught myself that it's not about me, that my pain is minuscule in comparison to the widows, mothers, fathers & brothers I spent quiet, private time with last night, when not one of them spoke to me harshly or blamed me in the way I had to endure from those who have the ability to post but not the will to do actual good, when in actuality from those most hurting I received sincere appreciation even when I was so prepared for hatred, I went to work & did my job w/ self respect and grace. Sa lahat sa inyong pinaramdam sa kin ang inyong pagmamahal at respeto, (To all of you who made me feel the love and respect), I shall hold in my heart those posts. To my guardian angel, thank you. #humbled #strong #faithful," Kris wrote. – Rappler.com

MANILA, Philippines – In a rare one-on-one interview, President Benigno Aquino III was the guest of honor on comedian Vice Ganda’s popular show Gandang Gabi Vice on Sunday, January 4. (READ: 10 random things we learned from the PNoy-Vice Ganda interview)
Perhaps the most notable highlight from the pre-taped interview at Malacañang Palace came in the form of an admission about his often buzzed-about love life. In the interview, PNoy admitted that he did have a girlfriend – up until “several months ago,” that is. He said that he's currently single.
He also said would prefer a future girlfriend to be younger than him so that he would have a chance at having children in the future.
Another highlight from that interview: a singing PNoy, who performed a few bars of the song “Estudyante Blues.” Asked about his ligaw (courtship) style, PNoy said that he liked to sing, but had never tried to serenade a girl.
He sang a few bars, then was accompanied by Vice for the rest before stopping.
He also confirmed that he was previously in a relationship with TV personality Grace Lee.
Vice also asked PNoy what it was like growing up with sister Kris Aquino, a prominent and often controversial TV host, actress and image model.
“Interesting,” was how he described it, saying that he enjoyed time with her children Josh and Bimby – and that he would likely be watching Bimby’s movie with Vice, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin 2.
In a chic black and white oufit, Vice was understandably more reserved during the interview, making jokes about the high-profile nature of the meeting.
While Vice tried to hold back, he made jokes about the President's thinning hair and made an attempt to ask him if he played video games.
"Tanggap ko na (I accept it)," said the President of his thinning hair, with a grin.
Whatever happens to me, I’d like to tell all my fans that I love them very much, Vice Ganda joked in Filipino. He later said that this was one of the most important interviews of his life. – Rappler.com
