Judy Ann Santos on ‘kaunting tampo’ with ABS-CBN

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Judy Ann Santos admitted that she had a smalltampuhan (misunderstanding) with the management of ABS-CBN management recently, but this has since been ironed out. “Yung tampo naman with ABS-CBN, come and go naman siya, 'di ba? Bilang artista at nagtatrabaho sa kanila, ako ay isang empleyado lang,” Judy Ann told reporters during the press conference of her new teleserye Someone To Watch Over Me, Wednesday, March 4.
(The tampo with ABS-CBN, these come and go right? As an artist and who works for them, I am just an employee.)
"May pagkakataon na hindi mo maiiwasan na magkaroon ka talaga ng tampo sa mga boss mo. Pero lahat naman 'yon naaayos kapag napag-uusapan.”
(There are times that you cannot help but have a misunderstandings with your bosses. But that can be fixed if you communicate.)
“Yes, nagkaroon ng tampo, pero maliit lang. Maliit na bagay na napag-usapan din naman namin after a while.” (Yes, there was a misunderstanding, but it was small. It was a small thing that we were able to talk about after a while.)
Balita's Reggie Bonoan reported last February 26 that Judy Ann and some members of the management had slight disagreements as she was wrapping her show Bet On Your Baby.
Meanwhile, Judy Ann said she is quite excited to return to drama with the upcoming teleserye Someone To Watch Over Me. She will be working with Be Careful with My Heart star Richard Yap and Diether Ocampo.
“Sa palagay ko sa bawat bagong project na gagawin ng isang artista nadoon yung nerbyos, nadoon yung excitement. Of course kasi you’ll be working with new people you know at the end of the project you have new friends. More than the nervousness there’s the excitement,” Judy Ann said.
(For every new project that an actor takes on, there are nerves, there's excitement. )

As for her impression of Richard, Judy Ann said: “Kilala ko naman si Richard Yap from Be Careful [with My Heart] and Papa Chen [Richard Yap's role in My Binondo Girl], so I’m excited to know him better and we will be working twice, thrice a week. Wala naman akong masyadong takot kasi feeling ko naman hindi siya nangangagat,” she laughed.

The new show also serves as a small reunion for her and Diether, whom she worked with in the youth-oriented show Gimik.
“ Actually kami ni Diether nung Gimik days pa isa siya sa mga naging ka close ko talaga. All of the cast talaga pero kami ni Diether talaga magkabiruan kami, so nung nakita ko siya na miss ko talaga siya. And I’m really excited and happy na tinanggap niya yung project kasi its been a while na hindi natin nakikita si Diether sa isang teleserye," she said.
